Sunday Thoughts: Go to the Well!
The debut of a new weekly column I'm working on at PJ Media
Last week, I started a new column at PJ Media where I’m writing about matters of faith on Sundays. (I write about faith issues a lot in general over there, but this column look at matters of faith outside of the pressing issues of the day.)
I decided I would share excerpts from them here as well in order to hopefully pique some interest. Here’s a taste of last week’s column, along with a link to the whole thing:
At Eastridge Church, my home church, we’re in the middle of Missions Month. The obvious emphasis is on local and global missions that our church supports.
Representatives of some of the missions have been at both of our campuses for people to learn about serving opportunities. This morning, our campus pastor, Kurt Petersheim, preached a sermon about personal evangelism based on the account of Jesus talking to the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well. (See John 4.)
The first question Kurt asked was, “Where is your well?”
Your well can be… anywhere you go where people who you interact with regularly are.
