What did you think about the inclusion of communist revolutionary motifs in "Andor"? I was personally repulsed by those, and I felt that they ruined what was a show that was stellar is so many other ways.
You know, I can see how people saw those as communist revolutionary motifs, but I've argued that you can also view it as an uprising against the authoritarian left. When you look at it that way, it feels different.
What I saw was the character with the Russian proletariat hat (look it up - this was deliberate), constantly preaching from his (little, red) book of ideology. His cohorts were carrying Kalashnikov machine guns instead of Star War blasters. These people were the "heroes" who later threatened to kill a child in front of his parents. That was the moment where I said, "This is not Star Wars." I suppose we all see what we want to see. I suppose another person could see Andor as a Muslim uprising against the Jews if he wanted to.
